Choccywoccydoodah Star Challenge is new and exclusive to Good Food in early 2013

Whoopi Goldberg, Jackie Collins, Ivana Trump and Julien Macdonald have signed up to set bespoke cake design challenges for a new, exclusive, and even more indulgent series of Choccywoccydoodah on Good Food, as the team of world-class chocolatiers travel across the UK and the US.

Each hour-long episode of Choccywoccydoodah Star Challenge (working title), will see a different celebrity devise a concept for an extraordinary cake, which will then be unveiled at their own high profile or showbiz event. The Choccywoccydoodah team will be on hand to bake and help construct each of the inspiring and outlandish designs, making each creation a reality, within a fixed deadline.

This super-sized instalment of the hugely successful programme, also captures the team’s expansion from their Brighton home to an impressive four-floor cake and chocolate emporium in central London, where they will organise a cake inspired Jubilee street party, through to attending a mix of high profile UK showbiz parties and events, before heading off to the US to offer their unique services to the stars.

Choccywoccydoodah Star Challenge will give viewers an access all areas pass to the unveiling of the extraordinary cakes at private functions including an event at Whoopi Goldberg’s home in New York for Democrat Mayoral candidate Christine Quinn, and an intimate but lavish dinner hosted by Jackie Collins at a top London hotel to thank retail executives for their support in her long-spanning career as a best-selling author.

Challenges facing the team include ensuring that the bespoke designs are up to the demanding standards of the celebrities who have commissioned them, as well as the incredibly tight deadlines in which they have to be devised, designed, made and delivered.

In the case of Ivana Trump, the team had four days to make a cake that would be suitable for her lavish birthday celebrations in St Tropez in the south of France. The team’s brief – to make Ivana’s dream cake a reality, while complementing the high-end theme of her select gathering, where the female guests wore pastels, the men dressed in white and a synchronised swimmer was on hand for a special performance.

Get set for yet more compelling and entertaining TV as the extraordinary characters and dramas that have made the hit observational documentary series such a success, are brought to life once more, but with the addition of bespoke A list celebrity cake challenges.

Choccywoccydoodah is the second highest rating commission on Good Food since 2008, and when the third series premiered on the channel in July, it reached 905,000 adults and just over one million individuals.

Chocolate mayhem and madness? Guaranteed in equal measure with a healthy slice of A-list challenges. Choccywoccydooah Star Challenge is new and exclusive to Good Food, in early 2013.
