International global superstar, Lady Gaga, is on the tips of the tongues of the world again, but not due (solely) to her crazy fashion ideals and superb music, but her weight has brought her into the lime light.

She was papped outside her hotel in Paris, France, wearing an unusual outfit after criticism due to adding 25 pounds to her weight.  The blue and pink dress as undoubtedly a jab at the press for focusing on her weight, as it accentuated her new curves!

At her appearance in Amsterdam, it seems as if she had a bit more meat to her bones, but the controversial star has stated: “I’m dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds,” Gaga admitted to radio host Elvis Duran. “I really don’t feel bad about it, not even for a second”, according to NY Daily News.

“I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It’s hard because it’s a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don’t like that. So I’m trying to find a new balance,” explains Gaga.

It’s said that her dad has an Italian restaurant, and being the Italian New Yorker that she is Gaga explained “My father opened a restaurant. It’s so amazing … it’s so freaking delicious, but I’m telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there,” she said. “So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I’m, like, I’ve got to go where I can drink green juice.”

Lady Gaga has become an idol for many across the globe, and Mother Monster opened up to Maria Shriver in a recent interview about having eating disorders.  “I used to throw up all the time in high school,” Lady Gaga explained “So I’m not that confident. I wanted to be a skinny little balleria, but I was a voluptuous little Italian girl whose dad had meatballs on the table every night.

“I used to come home and say, ‘Dad, why do you always give us this food? I need to be thin.’ And he’d say, ‘Eat your spaghetti.’”

Personally, I’m glad that there’s a role model out there who’s attitude to other’s views on the stereotypical figure and image is controversial and direct.  Whatever size or shape Lady Gaga comes in, she’ll be loved none the less, and isn’t that how the world should work anyway?  It’s what’s on the inside that counts.  Flaunt those curves girl, because at the end of the day, you were born that way!
